Again, thanks to Joanna @ The Geekish Brunette for making me aware of this blog tag/prompt series. ❤
(I’ve included US Amazon purchase links where the book titles are for your convenience.)
Currently Reading:
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (US public domain Librivox audiobook read by Elizabeth Klett)
This is honestly so much better than I expected – it’s truly incomparable. Bronte weaves a heroine from solitude, passion, determination, and struggle.
“I care for myself. The more solitary, the more friendless, the more unsustained I am, the more I will respect myself. I will keep the law given by God; sanctioned by man. I will hold to the principles received by me when I was sane, and not mad—as I am now. Laws and principles are not for the times when there is no temptation: they are for such moments as this, when body and soul rise in mutiny against their rigour; stringent are they; inviolate they shall be. If at my individual convenience I might break them, what would be their worth? They have a worth—so I have always believed; and if I cannot believe it now, it is because I am insane—quite insane: with my veins running fire, and my heart beating faster than I can count its throbs. Preconceived opinions, foregone determinations, are all I have at this hour to stand by: there I plant my foot.”
~ Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte
A River Enchanted by Rebecca Ross
I’ve waited for this title to release as soon as I learned about it after reading her YA fantasy DREAMS LIE BENEATH, which is a masterpiece. ❤
Recently Finished:
Only a Monster by Vanessa Len ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“You’re a hero and I’m a monster,” she whispered. “There’s only one way that story ever ends.”
~ Only a Monster, by Vanessa Len
{Spoilery Post-Read Mini-Rant: I know. Nick is supposed to be the hero. But I’m still Team Aaron all the way. There’s just so much more spice between those two… while Nick is more of an empty seat for me. 😛 Otherwise, this story is very gripping and well done for a debut – with the caveat that there are more than a few F words that feel… well, out of place for the atmosphere/setting in my opinion.}
Bride of the Shadow King by Sylvia Mercedes (arc – You can preorder this!) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Read my review post here on the blog OR on Goodreads.
Next Up:
Within These Wicked Walls by Lauren Blackwood

Between Kings by W. R. Gingell
I’m not sure why I’m a bit stalled out on finishing this finale to the City Between series when I love all the previous books SO STORMING MUCH. Probably because I don’t want this to end…? (Gingell does have two spinoff series planned.) ❤ ❤ ❤
The Sign of Four by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (US public domain Librivox audiobook)
What do you think? 🙂 What are the titles on YOUR WWW? Let me know!
Oooh I love the cover from Bride of a Shadow King! Time to add it to my tbr, lol.
