Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (US public domain Librivox audiobook read by Elizabeth Klett)

This is honestly so much better than I expected – it’s truly incomparable. Bronte weaves a heroine from solitude, passion, determination, and struggle.

I will hold to the principles received by me when I was sane, and not mad—as I am now. I’ve waited for this title to release as soon as I learned about it after reading her YA fantasy DREAMS LIE BENEATH, which is a masterpiece. ❤

{Spoilery Post-Read Mini-Rant: I know. Nick is supposed to be the hero. But I’m still Team Aaron all the way. There’s just so much more spice between those two… while Nick is more of an empty seat for me. 😛 Otherwise, this story is very gripping and well done for a debut – with the caveat that there are more than a few F words that feel… well, out of place for the atmosphere/setting in my opinion.}
